Material: Fabricated corten steel
The Durrow Sculpture, created on the grounds of a decommissioned church, marks the beginning of Kevin O’Dwyer’s Line Drawing series. Fabricated in steel, the work captures the essence of drawing in three dimensions—using spare, elegant lines to explore flow, memory, and transformation.
As the first piece in the series, the sculpture establishes O’Dwyer’s dialogue between movement and stillness, history and imagination. Its linear form resonates with both the architectural traces of the former church and the organic rhythms of the surrounding landscape, evoking pathways, journeys, and spiritual markers.
Standing as both a sculptural gesture and a contemplative presence, the Durrow Sculpture set the foundation for O’Dwyer’s continuing exploration of how line, space, and material can embody rhythm, time, and place.
