The Cream of the Irish Awards, commissioned by Kilkenny Irish Beer in the early 2000s, were created to celebrate outstanding achievements in the Irish arts. The award itself was designed and crafted by renowned silversmith Kevin O’Dwyer, whose hand-forged works are celebrated for blending contemporary design with traditional metalworking. By commissioning O’Dwyer to create a distinctive silver award, Kilkenny Irish Beer linked Ireland’s brewing heritage with its thriving artistic community, making the Cream of the Irish Awards a landmark celebration of Irish creativity, cultural excellence, and innovation.
