Series of repetitive stacked geometric forms

Kevin O'Dwyer’s Totem series explores the dialogue between geometry, symbolism, and the vertical form. Drawing inspiration from ancient monoliths, industrial architecture, and spiritual markers, each sculpture in the series is composed of stacked, minimal geometric shapes that convey strength, balance, and presence. These totems are not literal narratives but abstract expressions—silent witnesses that evoke memory, place, and identity. Fabricated primarily in steel, their clean lines and architectural clarity speak to O'Dwyer’s industrial artefact interests, while their towering scale anchors them in the landscape as contemplative sentinels. The Totem series invites viewers to consider the layered histories and connections between the built environment, ritual, and the human experience.
